The basic material for "Wear Resistance Ceramic" is extreme pure synthetic (Alpha) alumina oxide. Today alumina ceramic of 92% purity is the best solution in terms of wear protection performance and material costs. However, other alumina content such 95% and 99% purity is usually custom made by the customers based on each specific conditions, which require either higher purity, impact or hardness for their applications.
The cost for lining a chute with ceramic is considerably less than what you would expect to pay for in steel.
Ceramic tiles weigh approximately 56% less than steel. In perspective, if an area of 6 square meters was lined with 25mm thick steel, it would weigh approximately 1147kg. Whereas ceramic would weigh only 505kg. Ceramic reduces the constant load on equipment and makes installation easier without the use of heavy lifting equipment.

The products, which are of wear-resistance, excellent impact-resistance, easy operation are ideal surface wear-resisting material for material transfer equipment in mining,iron & steel works,thermal & power plants, mine, etc, and can extend operating life of equipment effectively. Theoretically the life time of the alumina ceramic is about 260 times longer than that of manganese steel and 170 times longer than that of chrome steel.
